It Saturday, May 21st and almost 7 pm just west of the International Date Line. Has anything happened?

It it now 7 pm on the 21st on a group of islands that are part of the Republic of Kiribati. I've scoured the news and haven't heard of any huge earthquake, people disappearing, or anything unusual. Care to explain? I'm sure someone will find a way around this fact. : )
