Why is my cat making a weird noise when she breathes?

about 2 days ago she acted like she was trying to cough up a hairball,she did this again yesterday too. it sounds raspy when she inhales and you can hear her breathe when she exhales,i have 4 cats and i never hear them breathePLEASE HELP
